Ambulatory EEG monitoring

Through our office you can obtain state-of-the art video-enabled ambulatory EEG monitoring.  This technology allow the patient with epilepsy or undiagnosed spells to be monitored in the comfort and privacy of their own home, for extended periods of time if necessary.

The patient for whom the test has been prescribed comes to our office and is connected to the EEG monitoring equipment by a registered EEG technologist.  They then take the equipment home and allow themselves to be monitored for the amount of time the doctor prescribed.  The equipment is then returned and the data is reviewed by our epileptologist, Dr. Kirk Levy, who will report the results.
