Dr. Choi attended Bronx High School of Science and Harvard College. In 2000 he graduated
Harvard Medical School with two degrees: M.D. and Ph.D. in neuroscience. He trained in
Internal Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital and was a resident in Neurology at the
NY Presbyterian Hospital/ Neurological Institute of NY.

Dr. Choi joined Bergen Neurology Consultants in February 2005. He is licensed in New York
and New Jersey. He is Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and
Neurology. He has privileges at Englewood Hospital & Medical Center and at NY Presbyterian
Hospital. A faculty member at Columbia University, he teaches clinical neurology to medical
students and Neurology residents.

In addition to practicing clinical neurology, he has been doing scientific research at Columbia
University in molecular and cellular mechanisms of memory formation with Eric Kandel, a
Nobel prize-winning neuroscientist. Dr. Choi came to the U.S. as a teenager, and he is fluent in
Korean. He and his wife have a son.
