Dr Racela (or Dr “Rikki”as patients like to call him) was born and raised in central NJ and graduated from Princeton University in 2003, majoring in Molecular Biology with Neuroscience minor. He stayed in central NJ to complete medical school training at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2007 and a year of internal medicine at nearby St. Peter’s Hospital.
He trained in Neurology at NYU School of Medicine, where he was pleased to serve as chief resident, and then completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology. He happily has returned to NJ to join Bergen Neurology Consultants here in Englewood. He is board certified in neurology and electrodiagnostic medicine. Since joining Bergen Neurology Consultants he has proudly served as stroke director at Englewood Hospital from 2014 to 2015.
A 3-sport athlete in high school and lightweight (“Sprint”) football player at college, Dr. Rikki enjoys working out and is also an avid Devils, Knicks and Yankees fan (though he will treat Mets compassionately). He also enjoys listening to 80’s music and traveling to the Caribbean.
Because of his Filipino background, you usually find him eating good lechon!
