Dr. Choi attended The Bronx High School of Science and Harvard College. In 2000 he graduated from Harvard Medical School with an M.D. and Ph.D. in Neuroscience. He trained in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and completed a residency in neurology at the New York Presbyterian Hospital and Neurological Institute of New York.
Dr. Choi joined Bergen Neurology Consultants in February 2005. He is licensed in New York and New Jersey. Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Choi enjoys privileges at Englewood Hospital & Medical Center. A faculty member at Columbia University, he has taught clinical neurology to medical students and neurology residents.
In addition to practicing clinical neurology, he performs research at Columbia University in molecular and cellular mechanisms of memory formation with Eric Kandel, a Nobel prize-winning neuroscientist. Dr. Choi came to the U.S. as a teenager, and he is fluent in Korean.
