Tremor
Tremor can result form a
variety of conditions. It most frequently involves the hands, but can
also affect the head, face and legs. Common causes include a syndrome
known as essential tremor which is often familial and easily treated.
Tremor can also be associated with the use of certain medications,
endocrine abnormalities (i.e. thyroid conditions and various brain
syndromes (i.e. Parkinsonism). A neurologist can often easily
determine the cause of one’s tremor and institute the appropriate
therapy.
